Keith is a certified Fire and Explosion Investigator. His professional experience includes over 8 years with the Office of the Fire Commissioner and a further 8 years as a firefighter. He has been involved in more than 500 fire, explosion or technical investigations, approximately 40 mentoring fire scenes, and as a Fire and Life Safety Inspector, he has conducted 556 inspections at various building and occupancy types as well as led 14 inspections at illegal grow-ops. Keith has been accepted s an expert witness.

Ryan specializes in fire and explosion investigations and has 23 years of experience working for the Calgary Police Service, including three years in the Homicide Unit and three in the Joint Forces Arson Unit. During his tenure with the Police Service, Ryan was awarded the Exemplary Service Medal and earned his CFEI and CVFI designations. To date, Ryan has investigated over 1,200 residential, commercial and vehicle fires and/or explosions and has been utilized by public policing agencies and private insurers to assess/conduct and assist with civil and criminal investigations, both ongoing or under review. Additionally, Ryan works regularly with law firms requiring detailed analysis of fire investigations, both public and private, civil and criminal, and has been designated as an expert witness within the discipline of fire investigation by the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Kings Bench. He is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).

Tristan is a Forensic Engineer and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Ottawa. His professional experience includes conducting fire scene investigations, failure analyses, and examinations. Tristan has attended and investigated over 650 fire scene investigations and evidence examinations.

Michelle specializes in all types of vehicle and equipment fire investigations, including failure analysis, as well as product liability, residential and commercial appliances. She has experience investigating vehicle and equipment losses in all industries including construction, agriculture, transportation, forestry and passenger vehicles. Prior to entering the field of forensic engineering, Michelle performed mechanical engineering tests and evaluations for Ford Canada and was an equipment engineer for Samsung Austin Semiconductor.

Martin is a licensed professional engineer specializing in electrical engineering and fire investigation. With more than 15 years of experience, he has performed over 700 fire investigations as well as electrical failure analyses, site reviews and code consultations. Martin is qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Raina is a Fire and Explosion Investigator with a background in Electrical Engineering specializing in failure analysis, and origin and cause investigation of fires. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Management from McMaster University. Raina has attended and participated in over 200 fire scene investigations and electrical failure examinations.

Kevin is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and Fuels Specialist. He has over 18 years of experience in the fuels industry and over 25 years of skilled trades experience as a Licensed, Red Seal Industrial Electrician. Prior to OCI Group, Kevin spent 10 years as Fuels Inspector/Regional Supervisor with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) which is the Provincial fuels Regulator in Ontario. As such, Kevin has in-depth knowledge of fuels related technical codes and regulations. His investigative experience includes industrial, commercial, residential, and agricultural fires. Kevin also has experience with incendiary fires suspected to have a fuel involvement, natural gas pipeline fires, fuel spills and gaseous fuel explosions. Kevin is also a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator. Kevin has given evidence in Provincial Court.

Chase is a Materials Engineer and Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator with five years of experience. He has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in engineering with a specialty in Materials Engineering from the University of Toronto. Chase has been involved in more than 400 fire investigations and 80 water loss and failure analysis investigations and has prepared more than 200 formal engineering reports.

Adam specializes in structural forensic investigation and holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Alberta. He is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario, BC, Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, PEI, and Nova Scotia. To date, Adam has investigated over 800 structural losses and has been qualified as an expert in structural engineering three times in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Adam’s background includes work as a structural engineer providing service for new building construction, personal fall arrest systems, roll-over protection systems, structural assessments, repairs, and failure investigations. He also has experience teaching engineering labs and conducting research on building envelopes, structural health monitoring, and masonry walls at the University of Alberta.

Matt is a licensed professional engineer in the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, BC, and Ontario, as well as the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. He is a certified fire and explosion investigator and certified vehicle fire investigator, specializing in mechanical related losses, and has conducted over 1000 investigations. Prior to working in forensic engineering consulting, Matt spent multiple years in the academic and research field studying various fire science topics at both the University of Waterloo and the University of Saskatchewan.
