- Conducting forensic examinations of damaged buildings, assessing their architectural, structural, and environmental condition to provide a detailed scope for restoration.
- Providing full design and specification drawing package containing architectural and structural drawings as well as determining required fire separations to restore damaged structures to pre-loss conditions and applicable code upgrades.
- Assisting in forensic analysis of structural and environmental failures to determine the cause of the failures and conducting independent reviews of applicable codes and standards to ensure compliance of existing structures with current codes.
- Coordinating with all the relevant parties (clients, contractors, building officials etc.) within a project in order to ensure projects are being completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the permit drawings.
- Managing and coordinating with various engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, construction managers etc.) to maintain and meet project quality standards and timelines.
- Conducting independent site inspections and assessment to prepare structural analysis and deficiency reports that outline cause of failure and reflect requirements to return a building to its pre-loss condition.
- Researching product technical data sheets and contacting suppliers to ensure the applicability of the products for existing site conditions and assisting in coming up with unconventional repair solutions by utilizing various industry products.
- Providing detailed wood, concrete, masonry and steel design repairs using current standards and guidelines.

- The primary role of Harbels involved the construction of all the formwork and concrete pouring of all the structural elements in Bayview station for the Eglintion Crosstown LRT project.
- Maintained a daily report of site activities, workers production, man power, delays and site issues.
- Defined and implemented inspection requirement for construction work to assure conformity to drawings and specifications.
- Built a working relationship with the client’s employees, project managers and other subcontractors to assist in the completion of the project.
- Provided technical advice and solving problems on site that include – but not limited to – material allocation and availability, coordinating work between day and night shift, and quality control.
- Read and interpreted structural design and shop drawings and sketches.
